At Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa we start about an hour and a quarter before sunset on the lagoon side, where the water is stillest, move through the shallows as the light turns gold, and finish on the jetty at blue hour. The far south sits almost on the equator; the sun goes down fast and the blue hour is short, so we start a few minutes earlier than you would expect. Sunrise sessions are quieter still, and the water is at its clearest.
