Every photograph here is licensable.
Every photograph on this site was created by Ibrahim Asad and is © Ibrahim Asad / Asad Photo; Asad Photo is the studio brand, Island Todo the company. Here is what each kind of client may do with them, and how anyone else can license a frame.
Guests — personal licence
Every photograph delivered from a personal session comes with a personal, perpetual, worldwide licence: print it, frame it, share it, post it. Credit is appreciated, never required. The one thing the licence does not cover is selling the photographs or licensing them to a business — ask and it is usually a quick yes.
Brands & resorts — commercial licence
Commercial projects are delivered with a perpetual, worldwide licence for the client's own marketing: website, OTAs, print, social, press and advertising. Exclusivity, third-party resale and sub-licensing are agreed in the brief and priced separately. Photographs remain the copyright of Asad Photo / Island Todo.
Events — coverage licence
Event clients may use the delivered photographs for their own communications, press and archives without limit. Sponsors, media and delegates may request frames for their own use through the client.
Press & editorial
Editorial use of any photograph on this site is welcome with the credit "Asad Photo"; email the URL of the frame and where it will run. No fee for news and features about the Maldives; commercial editorial is quoted.
AI training
Photographs on this site are not licensed for training machine-learning models. The site's robots.txt allows AI assistants to read and cite the text; it does not grant a licence to the images.

Send the page URL of the photograph, where it will appear, and for how long. Most requests are answered within six hours.
Machine-readable licence data is embedded in every image on this site as schema.org ImageObject metadata: creator, credit, copyright notice, licence URL and acquire-licence page, as recommended by Google for licensable images.
