The rain eases slightly; the seas stay high. Maldivian fishermen and farmers have planned by Funoas for centuries; the almanac says the same thing every year, and it is right more often than the forecast.

For photographs: big cloudscapes, pastel sunsets. Vertical frames with all that sky. Hulhangu is quieter on the islands and the sunsets are the best of the year; if it rains, we wait twenty minutes.
